Faster Multi-Shaker GVT Testing
In Ground Vibration Testing of aerospace structures sine excitation is very popular due to its good signal to noise ratio. The main drawback of this technique is the high coherence between different excitation channels if more than one shaker is used. In this case it is not possible to calculate the frequency response functions (FRFs) directly.
m+p international have now solved this limitation by using data from a number of test runs that use different excitation patterns (e.g. exciters in-phase and out-of-phase). The new „MIMO Sine FRF“ wizard in m+p SO Analyzer is able to calculate FRFs from these multiple test runs opening up a large field of applications for sine testing where more than one exciter is required. Coupled with this MIMO wizard is a new computation function that derives accurate spectral results from fast sine sweeps without skewing of the resonance frequency information allowing the optimum trade-off between the speed of resonance searching and signal to noise ratio.
m+p SO Analyzer from m+p international continues to provide the most complete set of tools for structural testing from impact hammer testing and ODS animation to multiple shaker testing with Normal Mode Tuning together with integrated MDOF modal analysis and OMA.
